WE ARE

Ujamaa

Empowering orphans, widows, and communities in need while inspiring the next generation through meaningful programs

ABOUT

Connecting with Vulnerable Communities

“Ujamaa,” a Swahili word meaning “familyhood” or “brotherhood,” reflects our mission of building strong families and thriving communities. True to its name, Ujamaa focuses on uplifting one another, fostering growth, and creating meaningful change in individuals and groups. Rooted in the belief in God’s boundless love for humanity, we are committed to sharing that love with our neighbors and beyond.

OUR WORK

Making a Difference by Bringing Hope

We strive to touch as many lives as possible through programs designed to meet both personal and community needs. From tackling food insecurity and water scarcity to providing shelter, education, medical care, financial independence training, and relationship-building opportunities, we are committed to creating lasting change and offering hope where it’s needed most.

MIND

We offer adolescent and adult education classes and skills training in addition to music as therapy and the encouragement of talents like music and sports.

BODY

We provide nutritious food, clean water, medical care, and more while also fulfilling the need for safe shelter.

SOUL

We do all of this through Jesus and share the word of God during events.

COMMUNITY

We host outreach events to distribute food and supplies and connect with the communities we serve.

Family is not formed by blood or genes but by genuine love.
